Tesco Non Food Standard


1.14 (Medium)
Team Training
At least one member of the HACCP/Risk Assessment team must have completed a recognised HACCP qualification. The other team members must have had, as aminimum,internal training.One team member holds

Intermediate HACCP or equivalent. The training consists of a2 day training course with a mandatory examination at the end. Refresher training is in place.

Factory Personnel Training


Personnel in the factory who monitor CCPs must have an understanding of product risk assessment/HACCP and have specific training against the latest version of the relevant monitoring procedure.
1.14.2 (Sterile)Factory Personnel Training

All production personnel have a basic understanding of HACCPand how it relates to the areathey work in.


Section 2 :

Finished Product Specifications & Tesco Technical Library* Detailed, accurate specifications and representative reference samples ensure that safe, legal products are manufactured to the agreed quality.

The site will have agreed Tesco specifications in place for all products currently on sale. The specifications will be fully completed with accurate information that describes the product, packaging and processing details and batch codes which will be applied to the product. Reference samples will be available for all products manufactured. Where applicable, the site will be able to demonstrate that they are familiar with Tesco Technical Library.

2.1 (Base)

Agreed Specifications


Agreed Tesco Specifications must be in place for all launched products. Copies of the specifications must be accessible at the relevant production sites. Specifications must be agreed by both parties.

Where TTL is used specifications must be active.

If paper specifications are used, both parties must sign the

specification.

2.2 (Base)Content

Specifications must be fully completed and in the correct

format (i.e. formulated product on a formulated specification and non-formulated on a hardline specification) with accurate information that describesthe product, packaging and processing details.

Review

Specifications must be reviewed and re-agreed with Tesco when changes to product / processare made and to comply with the review date on the specification.

Internal Site Specifications


Where sites copy information from the Tesco Technical specification to an internal document format (for use in the factory) systems must be in place to ensure accuracy of the information and ensure updates are made when applicable (controlled documents).
